We will guide you to discover this world famous region from another angle: on your bike, riding mostly on picturesque country roads. The whole week will be a perfect mix of classified “cols” of Tour de France (but achievable), with rides along the Mediterranean coast. Thanks to its year-round mild weather (300 days of sun per year), perfect road surface and terrain, many pros from the “peloton” are living in this region.

After a warm welcome at Nice TGV or Airport and a short drive to one of France’s most beautiful village, we will enjoy a small ride to adjust your bike, to get know each other, get used to your bike and to recover from your journey.

From KM 0, we will enjoy a few hills to warm up before the famous Col de Vence (Cat 1, 9,7 Km at 6,6 %) overlooking the natural reserve of Noves. Col de Vence is considered as a classic “Paris -Nice” climb. It is also a winter training ground for all Pros living in the area. After a Lunch in Carros, you will certainly appreciate the superb panorama over the “Bay of Angels”, before heading back to St Paul de Vence.

Today will be mostly flat, surely everyone will enjoy a negative elevation before tomorrow's queen stage. We will ride along the coast to Théoule sur Mer. This little jewel, hidden among the red rocks of the Esterel Mountains, is still preserved from mass tourism contrary to its nearest neighbour : Cannes. After a typical Provençal lunch we will ride to Nice, where we will remain until the end of your stay.

Although not featured in Pro races, Col de La Madone is the favorite “playground” for all pros who wish to test themselves before major events. Did you know that TREK named their top aero bike after this climb ? After conquering this difficult pass, we will enjoy a well deserved “market lunch” at a village that seems frozen in time, away from civilization: Ste Agnès. We will then head back to Nice by the coast via Menton & Monaco.

1 Ride 3 countries. Today we are heading to Ventimiglia, considered as a gem of the Italian Riviera. In the old Town, we will savor a homemade market cuisine at a traditional trattoria, whilst enjoying the superb view of the Mediterranean Sea. Upon returning to Nice we will ride on the world famous Monaco Formula 1 Grand Prix track. You may then imagine how it really feels when driving at 300 Km/h on those narrow streets.

After an early morning ride along the Mediterranean Sea, a browse through one of the most famous flower market, it is Time to say “Au revoir”, or “arrivederci”

Flying to France: To minimize the risk of delays, recover from jet lag, we do advise you to land in Paris (CDG) on Saturday (Journeys start on Sunday noon). To reach Marseille you will board a TGV (high-speed train) in Gare de Lyon, for TGV information, please check https://www.raileurope.com/index.html
We will welcome you at Marseille TGV station on Sunday at 1.00 pm. While we do not handle train & plane booking we would be happy to advise on the best travel options. At the end of your journey, on Friday, we will drive you back to Marseille TGV station, to board your return TGV from 12:00 pm onwards.

All selected restaurants propose a genuine cuisine using local & seasonal products. Contrary to other Tour operators, ALL your meals are included, with matching wines and mineral water. Your Journey also includes a 1* Michelin dinner with matching wines. All hotels and restaurants cater to specific dietary needs; do not hesitate to inform us in advance.
We have selected some of the best bikes currently on the market: TREK Domane SL7 Di2 or PINARELLO Prince Disk Ultegra Di2. While features are similar to "Tour de France peloton" machines (Full Carbon, Electronic Transmission), you may also wish to upgrade to a superior bike category or wheelset, upgrade your bike. For your convenience, we will supply you with a Helmet, and desired pedal type.
Each day, your road captain will open the road, lead you through charming villages, traffic-less country roads, advise on how to tackle the next climb and all the while, ensure your safety and comfort. As experienced cyclists, we know that it is always reassuring to feel a presence along the way. This is why an assistance vehicle will follow you in case of a puncture or if you need beverages, snacks, an extra layer or even wish to rest for a while.
Everyday several mileage and speed average options will be available to suit all fitness levels. To provide a genuine, safe and personalized experience the group size will be limited to 15 guests in a week. You may also enjoy a daily BéloVélo Bike Clinic during which a Road Captain will teach you tips of the peloton, such as climbing, downhill, bike handling techniques, mechanical advise and much more

At the end of you journey, You may recognize such dedication by tipping your Road Captains Based on your level of enjoyment we advise tipping 6 to 10 % of your Journey price.
