BéloVélo's road captains have designed the ultimate cycling challenge in the Alps. Over 6 days, you will conquer some of Tour de France oldest and famous monuments. While tackling L'Alpe d'Huez, your mind may trick you:

Day 1: Loop Les Deux Alpes - the Alps welcome you

Your journey begins with a warm welcome at Grenoble TGV station or Lyon airport followed by check-in at your hotel. This moderate first ride will enable you to adjust to your bike, the road conditions and to connect with your fellow riders. You will surely enjoy the vista on one of the most scenic route dominating the Oisans valley.

Day 2 Les Deux Alpes – Col du Galibier (Return)

For your first significant day in the saddle, you'll embark on a "Col Combo". After descending "Les Deux Alpes", Col du Lautaret (25 km at 4%) will be a great warm up before tackling Col du Galibier (Hors Catégorie, 8,6 Km at 6,8 %). First Alpine col to be featured in Tour de France (1911), this climb, is often the highest Tour de France"s summit (2,645 m). it’s a challenge that every cycling enthusiast dreams of. After conquering the Legend you'll feel a deep sense of self-achievement. Such accomplishment will remain an unforgettable memory. Enjoy the 30 km of uninterrupted descent that follow this great effort

Day 3 Les Deux Alpes - Les Deux Alpes - Recovery Day

Following yesterday intense efforts and to enjoy the rest of your journey, recovery is the key. After descending Les Deux Alpes we will guide you for a ride thru the beautiful Oisans valley. After a great lunch at Bourg d'Oisans, we will ride thru some forest, waterfalls, visit a typical Alpine village before finally reaching Les Deux Alpes aboard a chair lift (reason why this is a recovery day!).

Day 4: Les Deux Alpes - Col de la Croix de Fer-Lac de Verney - Monumental Challenge

Be ready for another "Hors-Catégorie" monument, with the ascent of Col de la Croix de Fer. First featured in 1947 Tour de France, it is standing at 2,067 m. This col can be deceiving (24 km at 5,2 %), as it is famous for its portion of irregular slopes (5 km of descent followed by 5 km climb at 11 %). Some Pros in the peloton call it the "leg breaker". To ease the pain while climbing, think of the view that awaits you at the summit and of the 20 km of downhill that follows. Bonus of the day : upon descending, a slight detour and a few additional hundred meters will allow you to add Col du Glandon to your Strava !

Day 5: Alpe d'Huez Climb - Enter the Legend

Alpe d'Huez, the iconic climb featured in over 30 Tour de France stages, awaits you. Since 1952, the 21 legendary bends, each with its own story, have played a pivotal role in Tour de France history. Each bend bears the name of Alpe d'Huez winner. Climbing Alpe d'Huez (Hors Catégorie, 14 km at 8%) brings you closer to the sport's essence. It also makes you realise the unbelievable strength it takes to be a Tour de France's pro. As a warm-up, we'll descend part of Alpe d'Huez before taking a scenic road overlooking the Oisans valley. Small tip : to ease the pain while climbing try to remember on which bend N° you are currently riding. Daily Mileage:

Day 6: Loop around Huez – Au revoir les Alpes.

After a quick espresso and croissant, we'll take you to a sunrise leg spin around .This relatively moderate ride will bring us on one of the most scenic route dominating Oisans valley. Shortly you will tackle your last "Col" : Sarenne. It is considered as a "forgotten col". It has only been featured once in Tour de France (2013), it is short but with a decent gradient (3km at 7,8 %). Once at the summit (1,999 m), try to spot which summit you did conquer since Sunday. This final ride is usually a poignant conclusion to a week filled with memorable cycling memories and shared camaraderie moments. Once back to the hotel, we'll share an "Au Revoir" breakfast, before driving you back to Lyon Airport or Grenoble TGV station.

Chalet Mounier

Run by the same family since 1879, at the heart of Les 2 Alpes. We will spend our last two nights in the Alpes in this little jewel. The amazing surroundings will definitely assist in recovering from your daily ride, whether in your room, in the elegant lounges or at the luxury spa. On Thursday evening, you will also experience the superb "P'tit Polyte" where we will host our Michelin* dinner.

Le Faranchin

Calm, comfort & warm atmosphere are the key words for this charming family run hotel. It is located in a typical "sleeping" Alpine village, on the foot hill of Col du Lautaret. This cosy hotel will be our alternative "base camp" on selected dates. We are certain that you will love its authentic market cuisine, friendly team and breathtaking vista.

Traveling to France, to your journey’ start

Flying to France: To minimize the risk of delays, recover from jet lag, we do advise you to land in Paris (CDG) or Lyon/ Geneva on Saturday (Journey start on Sunday noon). From Paris you will then will a TGV (high speed train) on Sunday morning. Alternatively, we may arrange an airport transfer from Lyon or Geneva (additional cost may apply).

your Arrival & Departure

We will welcome you at Grenoble TGV station (or Lyon/ Geneva airport) on Sunday at 12:00 pm.
At the end of your journey, on Friday, we will drive you back to Grenoble TGV station, to be able to board your return TGV from 2:00 pm onwards. For planes,  upon booking with us, we will assist you in selecting the most appropriate flights.


We wish to make your journey as memorable and authentic as possible. We constantly, handpick a superb collection of quality, local and authentic restaurants. All selected restaurants propose a genuine cuisine using local & seasonal products. Contrary to other tour operators, ALL meals are included, with matching wines and mineral water. Your Journey also includes a Michelin * dinner with matching wines. All hotels and restaurants do cater to specific dietary needs; do not hesitate to inform us in advance.


We have selected some of the best bikes currently on the market.We have selected the best machines based on the terrain. For each journey corresponds a specific bike selection bike selection. Selected bikes are similar to "Tour de France peloton" machines, you may also wish to upgrade to a superior bike category  upgrade your bike. You may also bring in your personal bike, and enjoy a discount


Each day, your road captain will open the road, lead you through charming villages, traffic-less country roads, advise on how to tackle the next climb and all the while, ensure your safety and comfort. As experienced cyclists, we know that it is always reassuring to feel a presence along the way. This is why an assistance vehicle will follow you in case of a puncture or if you need beverages, snacks, an extra layer or even wish to rest for a while.

On most of the days, several mileage and speed average options will be available to suit all fitness levels. To provide a genuine, safe and personalized experience the group size will be limited to 15 guests per week. Come back home with many peloton, safety & mechanic tips thanks to our daily Bike Clinic

Thanking your guides

All year long, your road captains do work very hard to make your BéloVélo journey as memorable, authentic & secure as possible. At the end of your journey, you may recognise such dedication by tipping your Road Captains Based on your level of enjoyment we advise tipping 5 to 10 % of your Journey price. Tips are shared equally within the team
