Conquer some of the most mythical climbs, where Tour de France history was made. While climbing one of those ”monuments”, your mind may switch in between epic images of past Tour de France. But do not forget to enjoy the stunning Alpine panorama & try to spot a groundhog !

Throughout the week, our team will provide support with our assistance vehicle. Our road captains will advise you on how to tackle best those mythical climbs and the long downhills that follow, at the same time help you improve your bike handling techniques.(BéloVélo Bike clinic)

We wish you to only focus on cycling, leave the whole logistic to us (what is/not included).

Day 1 : Loop around Huez

After a warm welcome at Grenoble TGV station, your check in at your hotel, we will enjoy a small ride to adjust your bike. Reaching Col de Sarenne from Huez will be a great way to get to know each other and to recover from your journey.

Daily Mileage: 18 km / 465 m

Day 2 : Alpe d’Huez Climb

Alpe d' Huez, has been featured in over 30 Tour de France stages. The most famous 21 bends are instantly recognisable and have been responsible for shaping the outcome of the Tour de France more often than perhaps any other. For that, climbing Alpe d'Huez (H.C, 14 Km avg, 8 % ) brings you closer to the sport. It also makes you realise the unbelievable strength it takes to be a Tour de France's pro. Conquering Alpe d'Huez is entering the Legend. As a warm up, you will descent part of Alpe d'Huez before taking a scenic road overlooking the Oisans valley.

Day 3 : Alpe d'Huez -Col de la Croix de Fer- Lac de Verney

Another cycling Monument ! This Cat 1 climb can be deceiving (24 km at 5,2 %), as it is famous for its irregular slopes (5 km of descent, 5 km above 11 %). This climb instills a certain sense of freedom thanks to its almost deserted roads, breathtaking panorama. To motivate yourself, while climbing, think of the Pic-Nic awaiting you at the summit and of the 30 km of downhill that follows.

Day 4 : Alpe D'Huez - Les Deux Alpes

Today is recovery day ! After descending Alpe d'Huez we will ride thru the beautiful Oisans valley. After a great lunch at Bourg d'Oisans, we will ride thru a forest, waterfalls, to finally reach Les Deux Alpes aboard a chair lift (reason why this is a recovery day !)

Day 5 : Les Deux Alpes- Col du Galibier

For our last big day on the saddle, you will tackle your last monument of the week : Col du Galibier. First featured in the 1911 Tour de France, Col du Galibier, attracts, every year, thousands of cycling enthusiast who wish to challenge themselves on one of the longest (34 Km) and highest summits in Tour de France (Cat H.C, 2,645 m). Before the last Km of suffering, you will pass the Henry Desgrange monument (founder of the Tour de France). Once you will have conquered this Legend, you will feel a deep sense of self-achievement and will remain an unforgettable memory for years. In the 30km downhill that follows, you may try to guess tonight's Michelin * dinner menu, however, please remain focus on the road !

Day 6 : Les Deux Alpes-Route des Travers RTN

A sunrise ride around Les Deux Alpes. This relatively easy ride will bring us on one of the most scenic route dominating Oisans valley. After this refreshing leg spin, we will all enjoy a proper "Au Revoir" breakfast before driving you back to Grenoble TGV station or Lyon/Geneva airport.

Chalet Mounier

Run by the same family since 1879, at the heart of Les 2 Alpes. We will spend our last two nights in the Alpes in this little jewel. The amazing surroundings will definitely assist in recovering from your daily ride, whether in your room, in the elegant lounges or at the luxury spa. On Thursday evening, you will also experience the superb "P'tit Polyte" where we will host our Michelin* dinner.

Traveling to France, to your journey’ start

Flying to France: To minimize the risk of delays, recover from jet lag, we do advise you to land in Paris (CDG) or Lyon/ Geneva on Saturday (Journey start on Sunday noon). From Paris you will then will a TGV (high speed train) on Sunday morning.   https://www.raileurope.com/index.html. Alternatively, we may arrange an airport transfer from Lyon or Geneva (additional cost may apply).

your Arrival & Departure

We will welcome you at Grenoble TGV station (or Lyon/ Geneva airport) on Sunday at 12:00 pm.
At the end of your journey, on Friday, we will drive you back to Grenoble TGV station, to be able to board your return TGV from 2:00 pm onwards. For planes,  upon booking with us, we will assist you in selecting the most appropriate flights.

Dining

We wish to make your journey as memorable and authentic as possible. We constantly, handpick a superb collection of quality, local and authentic restaurants. All selected restaurants propose a genuine cuisine using local & seasonal products. Contrary to other tour operators, ALL meals are included, with matching wines and mineral water. Your Journey also includes a Michelin * dinner with matching wines. All hotels and restaurants do cater to specific dietary needs; do not hesitate to inform us in advance.

We have selected some of the best bikes currently on the market.We have selected the best machines based on the terrain. For each journey corresponds a specific bike selection bike selection. Selected bikes are similar to "Tour de France peloton" machines, you may also wish to upgrade to a superior bike category  upgrade your bike. You may also bring in your personal bike, and enjoy a discount

ROAD CAPTAIN & ASSISTANCE VEHICLE

Each day, your road captain will open the road, lead you through charming villages, traffic-less country roads, advise on how to tackle the next climb and all the while, ensure your safety and comfort. As experienced cyclists, we know that it is always reassuring to feel a presence along the way. This is why an assistance vehicle will follow you in case of a puncture or if you need beverages, snacks, an extra layer or even wish to rest for a while.

Rides & BéloVélo Bike Clinic

On most of the days, several mileage and speed average options will be available to suit all fitness levels. To provide a genuine, safe and personalized experience the group size will be limited to 15 guests per week. Come back home with many peloton, safety & mechanic tips thanks to our daily Bike Clinic
