Experience the thrill of  riding  part of a " Tour de France" stage  just hours before the peloton.
From our base in the Alps, We will bring you central France, to witness the first mountain stage of this edition. One can expect to see the first test in between the contenders to the podium in Paris 

A few hours before the peloton you will ride on the very   same route   as the  Pros. You will be completely immersed into the unique atmosphere of “ Le Tour    .
 While riding to the summit, you will often wonder if you are not wearing the  Maillot Jaune   
as spectators and other riders will cheer you up,  as   if  you were  Tadej Pogač ar  or   Jonas Vingegaard

Day 1: Loop Les Deux Alpes - the Alps welcome you

Your journey begins with a warm welcome at Grenoble TGV station or Lyon Airport, followed by check-in at your hotel. This quick leg spin will enable you to adjust to your bike, the road conditions and to connect with your fellow riders. This narrow alpine road is not car friendly but is the paradise for all cyclists. This balcony road offer a scenic view over the Oisans valley Such country side road , is the perfect way to say “Bonjour” to the Alpes" Hotel : Chalet Mounier

Daily Mileage: 28 km / + 871 m  

Day 2: Les Deux Alpes - Col du Galibier & RTN

After descending Les Deux Alpes , we will start with Col du Lautaret. Although quite long (34km), it is considered as an appetizer (CAT 1 , avg 3,9%/ Max 8,1%) compared to the iconic Col du Galibier (Hors-Catégorie, 8,5 km, avg 6,88% & 12,1 % Max). First featured in the 1911 Tour de France, Col du Galibier, is one of the highest summits (2,645 m), in Tour de France. Atop after the usual selfie, you will enjoy a breathtaking panorama of the whole Alpes including Mt Blanc. After a quick downhill we will stop at our favourite farmhouse café. The longest downhill, of your life (39km) will definitely help with the digestion. To reach the hotel, 2 options : climb back to Les Deux Alpes, adding 10 km and 700 m of elevation in your Strava or a transfer with the support car Hotel : Chalet Mounier

Daily Mileage: 77 km / + 2,097 m  

Day 3 : Les Deux Alpes - Col d'Ornon

The previous 2 days were filled with Tour de France monuments, Today we will make you discover a forgotten col of Tour de France. Col d'Ornon. (CAT 2, 10,5 km at 6,2 %) has been featured only 8 times since 1966 (last TDF in 2017). You will definitely appreciate this quiet road that winds thru mostly forest. This climb is quite an exception in the Alps, its slopes are pretty regular (only two portions over 9%). Once atop, you will be rewarded by another home made lunch, using only local produces . We will ride back to Les Deux Alpes. You will be either reach the hotel via a chairlift. For avid riders you may add an additional 20 km and 1,000 m of elevation by tackling Les Deux Alpes” climb.

Daily Mileage: 64 km /  + 1,070 m

Day 4: Transfer to Clermont Ferrand & a quick leg spin

We will bring to a road trip to central France. After approximately 400 km / 5 hours drive, we will reach our base only for a night. We advise you to pack light. After your check in, we will go for a ride to discover this new region and the Lake Aydat.

Daily Mileage: 45 km / + 937 m

Day 5 : Tour de France Stage 10 : The D DAY

After an early rise and transfer, you will start riding on the very same roads as the pros will ride on a few hours afterwards. While climbing col de Guery (3,4 km at 6,7 %) & Col de la croix st Robert (5,1 km at 6,3 %), you will surely feel you are wearing “Le Maillot Jaune” as many spectators & fellow riders will constantly cheer you up. After your effort, you will join BéloVélo team at a strategic race position, where you will recover to enjoy Le Tour atmosphere.Time will fly before the peloton arrives. Be ready to grab goodies from the advertising caravan. When the pros arrive, you may be lucky enough to get a free bidon. Once the grupetto has passed, we will drive back to the Alps

Daily Mileage: 50 km/ + 1,436 m

Day 6 : Alpe d'Huez - Col de la Croix de Fer (RTN)

While descending via a picturesque, less trafficked Alpe d'Huez road, you will surely appreciate the sun rise & the vista over the Oisan valley. After 18 km of downhill, we will tackle a regular feature of Tour de France : Col de la Croix de Fer (alt 2,064 m) This is a 29 km effort where the slope average looks deceiving (6,5 %) as it is spread with downhills, most slopes are over 7 % and with a few transitions over 11 %. A perfect leg shredder !! You will surely understand why it categorised as Hors Categorie by Tour de France. Picnic atop the summit will await you before heading to a magical downhill. Bonus : after 2 km of downhill, and 400 m of additional effort, you will be able to add another Tour de France monument to your Strava : Col du Glandon. Transfer back to Alpe d'Huez. If you wish to ride back to the hotel you will add 18,5 Km and 1,100 of elevation to your Strava

Daily Mileage: 74 Km / + 1,905 m

Day 7 : Early sun-rise & climb of Alpe d'Huez

After a quick espresso, we will descend Alpe d'Huez before sun rise. Another Espresso in Bourg d'Oisan to get ready to tackle one of the most famous cycling monument. Alpe d'Huez' 14 km (7,5 %) require a intense & sustained effort. A few advises go steady, meditate and keep the eyes open, you may discover your name painted on the road Did you know that each hairpin bear the name of a Huez summit stage winner ? This final ride is usually a poignant conclusion to a week filled with memorable cycling memories and shared camaraderie moments. Once back to the hotel, we'll share an "Au Revoir" breakfast, before driving you back to Lyon Airport or Grenoble TGV station.

Travelling to your journey' start

Flying to France: To minimise the risk of delays, recover from jet lag, we do advise you to land in Lyon (LYS) on Tuesday 8th. If you need to arrange for additional room nights in the hotel, we will be happy to do so. 

Alternatively you may travel from Paris to Grenoble via TGV (high speed train) However, this solution might be a cumbersome process (commute from Airport to TGV). more details :   https://www.raileurope.com/index.html

Hotels & Dining

 Plane tickets : upon booking with us, we will assist you in selecting the most appropriate flights & ensuring that the whole group lands in Lyon within hours. We will welcome you at Lyon airport. 

At the end of your journey, on Wednesday 16 July, we will drive you back to Lyon airport. We advise you to book your return flight from 4 pm onwards. 

YOUR BIKE

We wish to make your journey as memorable and diverse as possible. You will certainly notice several choices of hotel for the Tour de France journey. We try to book hotels as such in advance as possible, however due to the increased demand because of Tour de France' organisation, our preferred hotel may not be available to book. The alternative hotel are similar in term of rating ad comfort. We have handpicked a superb collection of quality, local and authentic restaurants. All selected restaurants propose a genuine cuisine using local & seasonal products. Contrary to other Tour operators, ALL meals are included, with matching wines and mineral water. Although Tour de France journeys do not include a Michelin * dinner, we will host a gala dinner on Thursday evening. All hotels and restaurants cater to specific dietary needs; do not hesitate to inform us in advance. 

ROAD CAPTAIN & ASSISTANCE VEHICLE

We have selected some of the best bikes currently on the market.We have selected the best machines based on the terrain. For each journey corresponds a specific bike selection. Selected bikes are similar to "Tour de France peloton" machines, you may also wish to upgrade to a superior bike category  upgrade your bike. You may also bring in your personal bike, and enjoy a discount. After your ride, we will clean and maintain your bike . (same applies to your "bike" apparels).

RIDE & BÉLOVÉLO BIKE CLINIC

Each day, your road captain will open the road, lead you through charming villages, traffic-less country roads, advise on how to tackle the next climb and all the while, ensure your safety and comfort. As experienced cyclists, we know that it is always reassuring to feel a presence along the way. This is why a support vehicle will follow you in case of a puncture or if you need beverages, snacks, an extra layer or even wish to rest for a while.
