A showdown between the Tour’s big favourites is quite possible on the famous Col du Tourmalet.
A few hours before the peloton you will ride on the very same route as the Pros.
You will be completely immersed into the unique atmosphere of “Le Tour”. Tourmalet is one of “Le Tour” most famous & difficult climb.
As the slope rises to increasingly steeper percentages, you will surely suffer. However, the constant cheering of fellow riders and spectators will ease the pain. You may also wonder if you are not wearing the “Maillot Jaune”.
After the traditional summit picture, our team will welcome you at a strategic location to watch the race in ultimate comfort settings. Gathering goodies from the advertising caravan : perfect pass-time before savouring the pros' effort.

During your week journey you will conquer some of Tour de France’ most mythical climbs
After a warm welcome at Toulouse airport, we will drive to Lourdes (approx 2,5 hrs). Upon arrival , while you are settling in the hotel, we will assemble your bikes. We will then go for a quick leg spin to start to know each other and to get acquainted with the local road conditions.
Daily Mileage: 25 km / + 400 m
Today we will tackle our first Mythical climb of the Tour de France: Hautacam. Although featured only 7 times in Le Tour, this Hors-Catégorie climb (14 Km @ 7,8 %) has become a regular feature. Bonus: an additional 2 Km will bring another Hors-Catégorie trophy : Col de Tramasel.
Daily Mileage: 54 km / + 1,350 m
After a transfer from Lourdes , soon, you will start discover the tough slopes of another mythical climb of “Le Tour” : Col d’Aubisque. This Hors-Catégorie col, will require a sustained effort (16, 4 Km @ 7,1%). It has been featured 49 times in Le Tour. After the usual summit picture with the 3 giant bikes we will descent via the col de Soulor, where you will discover the view over the stunning Troumouse glacier. Another 20 km descent awaits you, before some recovery on the flat we will arrive back to Lourdes.
Daily Mileage: 69 km / + 1,500 m
This will the toughest day of your cycling week, but another rewarding one: One more Hors-Catégorie climb for your collection ! Although only featured in “Le Tour” since 1985, Luz Ardiden seems like a regular featured of Tour de France in the Pyrénées. This tough climb (13 Km @ 7,4 %), with its 20 hairpins could be called “the Alpe d’Huez of the Pyrénées”
Daily Mileage: 93 km / +1,552 m
Today you will take on the legendary Col du Tourmalet, the most iconic climb in Tour de France’s history, featured over 80 times since its first appearance in 1910. It is also the most featured climb since Tour de France inception (62 times). After a warm-up in the valley, you will tackle the 17.2 km Hors-Catégorie ascent (avg. 7.4%, max 10%). While you are suffering, the numerous encouragements from spectators on the side of the road, will make you feel like you are wearing “Le Maillot Jaune”. Definitely, this will ease the pain. You may reach the summit right at the moment where the organisation set up the KOM banners, nevertheless, do not forget the traditional summit picture. After your effort, you will join the BéloVélo team at a prime viewing spot to recover in ultimate comfort conditions . You will enjoy Le Tour’s festive atmosphere, catching the caravan’s giveaways and watching the pros race by before descending back to the valley.

Nothing more invigorating than to ride to witness the sun rising. Usually this morning ride is the perfect time to reflect oneself achievement, rewind images of the great cycling circus : Le Tour. Before we head back to hotel for a proper “petit- déjeuner” we will of course enjoy a proper espresso on the way. We will drive you back to Lyon Airport to say “Au revoir”

Flying to France: To minimise the risk of delays, recover from jet lag, we do advise you to land at least a day beforehand. You may recover from your flight, in Paris and then reach Toulouse (by high speed train-TGV- or by plane)

All selected restaurants propose a genuine cuisine using local & seasonal products. Contrary to other Tour operators, ALL meals are included, with matching wines and mineral water. All hotels and restaurants cater to specific dietary needs; do not hesitate to inform us in advance.
We have selected some of the best bikes currently on the market.We have selected the best machines based on the terrain. For each journey corresponds a specific bike selection. Selected bikes are similar to "Tour de France peloton" machines, you may also wish to upgrade to a superior bike category upgrade your bike. You may also bring in your personal bike, and enjoy a discount. After your ride, we will clean and maintain your bike . (same applies to your "bike" apparels).
Each day, your road captain will open the road, lead you through charming villages, traffic-less country roads, advise on how to tackle the next climb and all the while, ensure your safety and comfort. As experienced cyclists, we know that it is always reassuring to feel a presence along the way. This is why a support vehicle will follow you in case of a puncture or if you need beverages, snacks, an extra layer or even wish to rest for a while.
On most of the days, several mileage and speed average options will be available to suit all fitness levels. At the end of your journey, You may recognise such dedication by tipping your Road Captains based on your level of enjoyment we advise tipping 6 to 10 % of your Journey price. Tips are shared equally within the team
